Look Mom No Trench!Posted by Tom Kendall in Untagged |
Though relatively unknown in the golden state, the practice is common place in most Mid West, East Coast, Pacific North West, and South West states. However, K C New Castle Manufacturing has created a puller that can reduce installation time of irrigation pipe by more than 50% versus traditional methods with minimal soil disturbance. Thus, the threat of harmful silt escaping from the site is virtually eliminated. The technology offers a creative approach in meeting the intent of the Sustainable Sites Initiatives Credit 4.4 to "minimize soil disturbance in design and construction". Trench-less pipe pulling can be performed with rigid PVC or flexible Poly piping systems from 1/2" through 2", in tight spots or long runs. In either case, the labor savings add up quickly offering the contractor huge competitive edge. However seeing is believing so see it in action at: www.dualpipepuller.com.
