Steve Wilson, founder of Eagle Sales, created our company in March of 1985. Unfortunately, he was taken tragically from us in February 2008.  Steve was well-regarded by anyone with whom he crossed paths.  With a keen sense of humor, a sound business sense and a vast knowledge of our industry, he was respected by his peers.

His career in the irrigation business started in 1972 when his father, Al Wilson, started a PVC pipe manufacturing company called EPCO.  Steve began working as a blender then progressed to learn all aspects of the PVC industry.  After a few years at EPCO, he went to Oregon and worked for a wholesale distributor in counter sales where he expanded his knowledge of the irrigation industry. Steve eventually went back to EPCO and worked in the inside sales department and then was promoted to sales manager for their new Reno location.

His portfolio also included running sales departments and managing branches at different wholesale distributors, located in both Northern and Southern California. In 1984 an opportunity was presented to start his own rep company with Dennis DePerault.  That company was called D&S, which later became Eagle Sales. While building this business, Steve developed many lasting relationships with people in our industry who still have great respect for him today.  He consistently earned this respect by maintaining a sense of honesty, integrity, and fairness.  We continue to run our business on this foundation, a legacy of honor.
